Why Do We Continue

Why do we continue repeating history over and over,
why do we continue digging graves lower and lower.
We all cry for peace but be careful what you wish for,
because it will be hate that will arrive at your door.
It will come to a time where hate is love and love is hate,
care for what you do now before it's too late.
They cry to change the world but neglect to change their own,
peace will not come to us I can feel it in my bones.
Why do we continue to pretend that we care,
take burdens upon themselves, the ones they cannot bear.
