The Sun

Hot, shiny
Small when you see it
Hard to see
It blinds you

A circle
Can you find the circumference?
What about the radius?
Diameter?

A cake
Hot in the inside when it comes out of a oven

Cool frosting
Wanting for seconds

It's also a star
Shining down on you
The moon is following your last steps
Thinking it’s following you

Hot
Ice cream melting on your hands
Trying to lick all of it
Want some?

This is great. You've used common experiences, even famliar math vocabulary, that almost all people can identify with. The 'Want some?' works really well, because you've captured our imaginations in the earlier stanzas.
