I Got to Go
i slipped on my shirt
over my back
it gripped my torso
i put on my jeans
and they hugged my legs
the silver petals of my ring
held on to my finger my socks
cuddled with my toes my shoes were begging
to beat up the ground
i grabbed my ipod
and the headphones
yelled music into my ears
i looked at the clock
as it was chewing away time i had to go
so the door threw me up.

"the silver petals of my rings"--what a beautiful line! I also love the image of the clock "chewing away time." And of course, being thrown up by the door made me laugh. Nice personifying!

I really like the energy of your piece. You've done really well in expressing the release of tension, how that finds its way out of us thorugh preparation and movement. I feel like you really conveyed the sensations of that motion in a way that I could feel that same energy. Great poem - thanks for sharing it with us.
It was foxy
i really liked the way you use different metaphors to mean the same thing because i have a lot of trouble doing it and it shows that you know how to
so basically im impressed
